With an M for Mature rating by the ESRB, keep in mind MK11 is for older gamers before jumping into a quick match or exploring the in-depth story mode.

This spooky spin on the Super Mario series puts you in the trembling shoes of Luigi, as he explores a haunted hotel in the hopes of saving his friends. The ghost-capturing mechanics are unlike anything else in gaming thanks to the various new gadgets (like a plunger) that Luigi has at his disposal. There is also a lot to collect as well, ensuring that your inner completionist is looked after as you gather up every ghost and hidden collectible there is. Talk about some scary value!

Animal Crossing (Working Title)

Release Date: TBA 2019

Animal CrossingAt long last, Animal Crossing is set to return in 2019. A core entry on the series hasn’t appeared on Nintendo hardware since Animal Crossing: New Leaf arrived on the 3DS back in 2012, so you’re right to be excited by a new game. Not much is known about the title quite yet, but it’s a safe bet that you’ll be chipping away at Tom Nook’s loans once again as you build your dream home.

Pokemon Sword Pokemon ShieldVery little is known about the next core Pokémon game, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, other than it will be a brand-new entry in the series on Switch. Being touted as a true Gen 8 experience, the game is sure to utilize the more powerful hardware to deliver you the best Pocket Monster experience yet. This title is also said to be a big changeup from the Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee and Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu games that launched in 2018. Here’s hoping more information arrives soon because I’m ready to catch ‘em all again.

Bayonetta 3

Release Date: TBA

Bayonetta 3Bayonetta 3 was announced at 2017’s The Game Awards, which led many to believe (myself included) that more information would be arriving at 2018’s The Game Awards. That didn’t end up happening, but you should still anticipate more news arriving on the game soon. With that said, here’s hoping that 2019 marks the return of the umbra witch and all of her time-slowing, hack-and-slack glory.
